Research

We study disaster robots and medical robots. Our strength is structual mechanics and kinematics.
Foceps force limiter using leaf spring buckling
nodalab_cover
nodalab_cover
A normal force limiter employs a linear coil spring, the gripping force increases proportionally to the handle displacement, which might cause damage to the gripped organ Developed forceps uses a leaf spring buckling mechanism. The spring constant of the buckled leaf spring is lower than that of a normal coil spring.

Research
Development of a force sensor for forceps
nodalab_cover
In forceps force sensors, the resolution in longer direction is generally worse than that in radial direction. Proposed structure of the force sensor improves these resolution problems.
Research
Development of a nuclear disaster robot, HELIOS X
nodalab_cover
HELIOS X was developed to reconoiter nuclear plant. This robot consists of Crank Wheel and one Robot Arm. HELIOS X performed various tasks such as climbing staris and opening doors.
